Green Tweets

Webware.com has published a Web 2.0 goldmine (or should that be a greenmine?) of links to Twitter feeds with environmental Tweets to relay. The article, Tracking 'green' news as it grows, with Twitter, gives a list of bloggers and traditional writers using Twitter to broadcast 140-character alerts of stories and observations, often providing an early and more casual take on their blog posts and formal articles, and some of the sources given are links to further lists of green Tweeters.

This list is particularly timely, appearing almost exactly a week before the Be2camp event (part sponsored by BIW) in London which has Web 2.0 and sustainability as two of its key themes. The event has already attracted several UK-based bloggers on sustainability and related issues, some of whom could usefully be added to Webware's list.
